Our trip to Ninesprings was a huge success. A MASSIVE thank you to all the fantastic volunteers that gave up their day to help us.
We have also been making the most of the outdoor space we have at Milford throughout the week.
Writing Fortnight (Tuesday 6th - Thursday 15th June):
We have been extremely busy during these first two weeks back after half term. We have all been busy writing stories, creating characters, making news reports, art, poetry ad much, much more! All of this has been completed alongside another class lower down the school and we have all been impressed with the hard work, passion and cooperation across the classes.
We can't wait to show off our fabulous work to you on Thursday 15th June from 2:00pm.
English - Balanced Arguments:
Should mobile phones be allowed in school? Should we build wind turbines at Mudford Rec? Should school uniforms be banned?
Come back soon to hear some of our balanced arguments on these issues...
PSHCE theme days:
- Hand hygiene
- drugs awareness
You can find further details of the trips on the letter that went home. This can also be found on our website in our 'Newsletters and diary' tab under 'Letters Home'.
We have been looking the 'The Snowman' and 'The Snowman and the Snowdog' in English. We have compared the two stories and have retold our own versions.
Can you match these scientific pictures, names and symbols?
We made our own timeline of British history before looking at the history of transport in our topic.
Haynes Motor Museum
Thanks to the Education Centre at Haynes Motor Museum for providing such a fantastic learning opportunity for our year 6 children. We had two wonderful days learning about the history of transport.
The children were absolutely brilliant and made the most of this brilliant experience.
